Establish the project definition
Often we get asked for a website and initially that’s all we have to go on. If you need assistance defining the project it’s no problem, we’re always happy to help. If you do have a strong project concept that’s already brilliant then you’re awesome.
Define the project scope
A typical scope includes the definition, an outline of the clients business., a brief competitor analysis may be included and website features will be listed. Goals are identified; we seek to understand your target audience and refine your message.
Develop a quotation based on the agreed brief
The full quotation helps us to stay on track and gives the client a method by which they can assess our work on completion. It will, of course, be based on the design scope and list the costs.
Commence the project
After we receive the 40% deposit, we begin the project on the agreed date and work within the agreed lead time.
Customer and competitor analysis
A more comprehensive customer analysis is executed so that we can understand their strengths and weaknesses and by doing so create a better experience for our client and their customers and website users.
Wireframes and Site Architecture
Wireframes provide a guide for defining the content hierarchy of the site. The site architecture includes the sitemap and wireframes of pages. Creating the sitemap ensures that you’ve considered all the key pages in the site, showing their relationship to each other and defining how the sties overall navigation should be structured.
Concept and Visual Design
Wish Design will provide the first draft of the website design. This is by no means set in stone and we welcome your input – some of our most interesting and successful designs bear little semblance to their first draft. The design will adapt and develop throughout the design process according to the clients feedback.
The tech bit. Pure geek. This is when we develop the structure of the site and add components, modules, extensions and plugins to make the site function in the required manner.
We will add the content supplied by the client or (if stipulated) we will generate the content on your behalf and can also provide copy writing services.
Site Testing & Snagging
Nearly there. We’ll check that the site functions are working; that the site can viewed on all device sizes; is accessible and performs as expected.
Final review and sign off
We got there. It was a team effort and we’re good to go – we’ll nearly. Its your chance to jump in with any last minute changes and ideas or just tell us how great you think we are.
Coach the client on how to use the site
Did we mention that we create “websites without the usual headaches”? You’ve got your new site but how do you use it? Support is hugely important and we’ll show you how to use the site; we’ll even make little bespoke videos for you so you don’t have to remember everything we tell you. Don’t forget if you get stuck then just shout – we’re always happy to help.
